Her two daughters, aged five and thirteen, make sure that she is kept on her toes but she knows all of their wiles. To an outsider they appear to be a one-parent family. To Sarahs mother they would be better off as a one-parent family. In the past this stance has caused friction between the two women. Losing her six year old son has made it difficult for Sarah to move on. But things are changing. This is a modern day family dealing with everyday issues which the majority of families can relate to.
